Hi my name is Stacey Hudnall. I am 33 years old, single with no kids. I love children, which is of course why I entered the teaching profession. Teaching is definitely my passion and I enjoy learning new ways to incite learning. I currently teach Chemistry, Honors Chemistry and Environmental Science at Paul Bryant High School in Tuscaloosa, AL. This school term begins my 4th year of teaching.
I am originally from DeKalb, MS where I attended elementary, middle and high school. After graduating high school, I attended Hinds Community College in Raymond, MS for 2 years and continued on to the University of West Alabama where I received my Bachelor's in Biology Comprehensive in 2010. I began my teaching career in my hometown where I taught for 2 months. I also taught in the Sumter County Schools system.
I am currently pursuing my Master's in General Science Education at the University of West Alabama. My date of completion is scheduled to be December of 2018. I am looking forward to finishing with the education degree so that I can continue my career. I love teaching high school students yet I do want to teach elementary students in the future.
I have worked in a variety of customer service jobs before beginning my teaching career. I have worked as a customer service representative in call centers, receptionist at different office locations and door to door sales professional. I enjoy working with people and I enjoy teaching. I am currently a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant as well as a Certified Zumba Fitness Instructor. When I was a selling cable, insurance or other products, I enjoyed the presentation and teaching part of the job. My career as an educator includes all of the things that I gained during my previous jobs.
Teaching is a challenging profession with many rewards, both intrinsic and extrinsic. I believe that all children can learn, especially when they feel loved and cared for by their teacher. The classroom comes with a multitude of differences from home environment to perceptions to cultural beliefs. Those many facets can easily create a challenge for the teacher to produce a classroom environment that includes all learning styles for students. There are many tools, strategies and options to support teachers in their endeavors to promote differentiated instruction for each individual student to ensure their success. My philosophy begins with love for the students, for the tools to help them and for learning ways to meet their needs. It also ends with that same love throughout the daily challenges to supporting the needs of students.
